Privacy Policy

We are very much aware of your concerns about the privacy of your information. We have no desire or intent to infringe on your privacy.

When you provide your personal information such as name, address, email address and telephone number, we will not give or sell this information to any outside company for any use. The information you provide will be kept confidential and will be used only to support your customer relationship with us. We have appropriate security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information we have collected from you at our site.

All of the information contained in this website, including the site design, graphics, and text are the copyrighted property of the Swiss Hotel. Any other trademarks, company names, product names and/or logos set forth in this website are the property of their respective owners.

Reservation Policy

Minimum Age Requirement

To ensure guests’ experience is up to the Swiss Hotel’s elite privacy and relaxation standards, please note that only guests 12-years-old and older are permitted to stay at the hotel

Check-in and Check-out Times

Check-in time is at 3 pm and Check-out time is by 11 am, or *12 pm for Honeymoon Suites.

If you arrive early, or need to depart late, our Bell staff will be able to store your luggage. Early arrivals and late departures can be requested but cannot be guaranteed (fees may apply). Please contact reception desk for assistance.

Guarantee, Cancellation, or Change of Reservation
A valid credit card is necessary to reserve a room. All cancellations must be done on or before 6pm EST two (2) days before arrival (48 hours notice) to avoid a no-show charge equal to one night’s room rate and tax, which will be charged to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation.

Please note, we require 14 days cancellation notice for the Jacuzzi Suite (King Bed) reservation booking.

Non-refundable Rates
Reservations that are deemed “non-refundable” are not subject to cancellation policies and are non-transferable. In order to secure the lower rate at the time of the booking, the guest has waived the ability to cancel. The amount for the entire stay is due at the time of the booking and is not refundable for any reason.

Maximum Occupancy of Rooms
Room rates are based on single or double occupancy. Maximum occupancy for rooms is two people. Please note, children under 12 years of age stay are not-permitted to stay at the Swiss Hotel.

Payment Policies
A valid credit card is required at the time of booking and will be authorized upon check-in for the full amount of the stay, plus taxes.

While most authorizations release immediately upon departure, some credit or debit card authorizations may take up to 30 days to release depending on the issuing bank. Swiss hotel is not responsible for any fees or inconvenience that may result from the issuing bank authorization release process. If you are experiencing an issue with a pending authorization, please contact the issuing bank by calling the number on the back of the card, and feel free to contact the front desk if they require the hotel’s assistance in getting an approval released.

Proper identification is required (government issued ID, valid passport).

We accept the following methods of payment: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Diner’s Club. Please note that Personal checks are not accepted, and cash may be used to settle the account upon departure but does not waive the credit card requirement at time of booking or authorization at check-in.

Foreign currencies are not accepted, nor exchanged, but locations for these services are nearby (please contact our concierge).

Taxes

Our Rates are subject to change without notice. In addition to the quoted room rate all guests are required to pay the 13% Harmonized Sales Tax and 3% Destination Marketing Fee (DMF).

Groups

Throughout the year, the Swiss Hotel may issue special discounted rates  for Group Bookings. Please contact us {link to client-specified email for Group Booking Requests} directly for inquiries.

Meeting Room Policy

Reservations

All requests for the usage of our meeting space must be made in advance with our front desk, and are subject to the terms of a contract.  Unless stated in the contract, all other hotel policies will apply.

Food and Beverage 
Food and beverage for all meeting room events must be purchased from the hotel.  Please contact management {Link to specific contact # for Meeting Room Requests} for special requests.

Food and Beverage Policy

Drinking age/Intoxication/Conduct

The drinking age in the province of Ontario is 19 years old.  Valid proof of age is required for all guests when consuming alcohol on our property.

Public intoxication will not be tolerated on our property.  Disrupting the guests’ experience with inappropriate behavior including harassment, offensive or insulting language or any other means deemed inappropriate by management will result in dismissal from the property.

Breakfast

In-House daily prepared breakfast is served between 7:30 am – 9 am Mon. – Fri. and 7:30 am – 10 am Sat. – Sun. Reservations for the breakfast service must be made by 6:00 pm the previous day or at the time of booking your stay at the Swiss Hotel. Should you choose to forego breakfast service after a reservation has been made, the daily breakfast charge of $15.00/ per person per day will be charged to your room.

Hotel Policy

Illicit Activity

The hotel will report all suspected illegal activity to the appropriate authorities and reserves the right to refuse service to anyone suspected of involvement in such activity.  The hotel reserves the right to enter any area of the hotel, including guestrooms, should there be a reason for suspicion of illegal activity or if we suspect our property, staff, or guests are at risk.

Minimum Age Requirements
In order to reserve a room and check in to our property you must be at least 18 years of age and provide valid government issued identification and credit card.  The hotel requires that someone at least 18 years old must occupy the room and be responsible for all activity that takes place, if traveling with a minor.

Damage to the Room and Public Spaces
Any type of loss or damage to items in the room or any public space will result in a charge that will be at the discretion of management.

Please note, that Swiss Hotel does not permit guests to use Rose Petals, Confetti, or any similar items in its guest rooms.

Non-Smoking Policy
The Swiss Hotel is a non-smoking property and all guest rooms are non-smoking.  Smoking in the rooms will result in a cleaning fee of $250.00 CAN, and continued noncompliance will result in dismissal from our property.

No Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed in our guest rooms and hotel public areas, with the exception of registered service animals.  Noncompliance will result in a $200.00 CAN cleaning fee and dismissal from our property.

Package Receiving and Storage
The hotel has limited storage space and does not encourage guests to have items shipped in advance of their arrival.  However, when notified, we will store up to two (2) packages of small to medium size a maximum of two days prior to the arrival date as a courtesy.  The shipping label must contain the name of the reserved guest (please include the arrival date) or we will not accept the package for security reasons. Should a package exceed the size requirements or the length of time stated here, we reserve the right to charge a storage fee per day per package, payable on arrival.

Shipping 
The hotel is not able to provide shipping supplies or arrange for pick-ups.

Bag Storage
Should guests need to leave their baggage on our property before checking in or after checking out, the hotel will issue a bag check.  In consideration for the free storage of the property covered by the check, the hotel is not liable for the theft, loss, damage or destruction of the property in the absence of gross negligence on the part of the Hotel or its employees.  If the property is not claimed within 24 hours, the hotel shall have the right to examine its contents, in the presence of management, for security purposes.  After the 24-hour period, it will be treated as Lost and Found (see Lost and Found {link to Lost & Found clause on this page}).

Safes/Lost and Found/Personal Property
The hotel will make every effort to retrieve and hold any items accidentally left behind for up to 30 days. After that period has passed, and the item remains unclaimed, it is disposed of.  The guest is responsible for the shipping cost and custom fees (where applicable) for the return of lost & found items.

Any items left in or next to the garbage bins are considered refuse and will be discarded.  The hotel is not responsible for items that appear to be for disposal.  Guests are encouraged to avoid confusion by placing all items in the drawers and cabinets provided, or in their luggage.

Please inquire at the reception if you need access to a safe.

Do Not Disturb policy
All of our guest rooms are equipped with “Do not Disturb” (DND) signs.  When the “DND” sign is placed on the door handle and visible on the outside of the door, the Swiss Hotel staff members will be alerted not to knock or enter the room for any reason.  When the “DND” sign is in place, your room will not be serviced.

Management reserves the right to enter a room with a known status of “Do Not Disturb” in the event of an emergency or if suspected illegal activity is taking place.

Housekeeping
For the safety of our staff and guests, no occupied rooms will be serviced while guests are present.  We provide housekeeping services daily between 10 am – 3 pm. Please alert the front desk, or a housekeeping supervisor, if you would like to schedule service at a particular time.

Guests that return after 3 pm  to find that they left the DND on the door will not be able to have full service of the room, but an attendant will empty garbage and provide new towels and amenities.  Should you need further assistance, please contact the front desk.

Property Access

Please note that the Swiss Hotel does not have an elevator on its premises; however, we will gladly assist guests with their belongings and baggage, as necessary. Please contact the Front Desk upon arrival for assistance.

Parking

The Swiss Hotel has extremely limited parking and as such, its parking spots are issued on a first come first served basis at a charge of $15.00 per night, and with no in & out privileges.

The Swiss Hotel is not responsible if you move your vehicle and your spot is subsequently taken. However, we will operate on the Honour System, in that if your parking spot is taken, you will not incur the $15.00/night parking fee.

We strongly recommend parking on the street directly in front of the hotel and our front desk is more than happy to assist you with finding suitable parking nearby.

The Swiss Hotel is not responsible for personal belongings left in the car or glove compartment.  We recommend removing all valuables from the car when you arrive. After guest departure, insurance regulation states that the hotel assumes no liability for loss of or damage to the guests’ property or vehicle.
